The purpose of the curriculum maps is to have a realistic picture of our program in a clear and concise manner.

These maps give us 2 lenses to see our students’ work over time:

1. a zoom lens to focus in on a particular grade level or department and

2. a wide-angle lens to see the PK-12 perspective.

3. During the school year the teacher briefly records the unit title or theme, major content or skills, major assessment components and major resources. The map is submitted to the coordinator for publication on our intranet. The purpose is to collect authentic data of what is really happening in class. Two formats are used to facilitate vertical sharing between PK-12.
